AM413ZT Dino-Lite Pro USB Digital Microscope with Polarizer The AM413ZT offers the same high quality 1.3M pixel imaging and measurement functionality as the AM413T but also provides polarization. The polarization feature allows the user to capture far greater surface detail, and to reduce the effect of reflections and glare, when looking at highly reflective surfaces. The level of polarization can be adjusted using a rotating collar offering the ability to examine objects with or without polarization. The following images illustrate the effect of the polarizer when looking at a human mole, where use of the polarizer enables us to remove the reflective effect of the skin surface. The 8 built-in white LEDs (which can be turned off in software) must be used to illuminate the subject if the polarization feature is to be effective. The supplied DinoCapture software for Windows (DinoXcope for MAC O/S 10.4 and above) enables the user to capture still images, real-time video and time-lapsed video streams quickly and easily. Once a still image has been captured text and graphics can easily be added using the built in picture editing tools after which the image can be saved in a selection of resolutions, shared and emailed from within the DinoCapture user interface. When used with the AM413ZT the DinoCapture software measurement features are enabled. Once an image has been captured the user enters the magnification value, as read from the microscope dial, after which measurements such as length, angle and circle circumference can be taken and added to the image as text and graphics for future reference. The AM413ZT also enables access to the calibration function. This feature allows the magnification value, as entered by the user, to be calibrated against a known measurement and increases the accuracy of the measurements taken. Dino-Lite USB microscopes can also be used as a standard webcam with applications such as MSN Messenger and Skype. This feature enables a group of remote users to view the microscope output and provides for effective online discussion of the object under inspection.

AM413ZT Example Images Below is a selection of example images to illustrate the image quality, magnification capabilities and field of view of the Dino-Lite AM413ZT USB digital microscope with polarization enabled. These images were captured, annotated and saved using the supplied DinoCapture software. Note that some images illustrate the measurement functionality and this is not available on all models. For the annotation text to be readable you will need to view the images at full size... click on a thumbnail and then display full screen. Please note that for ease of viewing on the Internet these examples were saved at 800*600 resolution after being captured at 1280*1024 and as such they do not represent the absolute maximum image resolution of the AM413ZT. An important note with regards to image quality & resolution... The 1.3M pixel DinoLite Pro models such as the AM413TL (i.e. those which specify a resolution of 1280x1024) provide TRUE 1.3M pixel images and use a high quality 1/3", 1.3M pixel image sensor coupled with high quality optics. There are other products on the market which, although they specify a maximum image resolution of 1.3M pixel (typically stated as 1280x960), use a lower resolution VGA image sensor. It is also important to realise that the quality of the optics plays a key role in the final image quality. In our opinion the DinoLite product range offers the best image quality, at both VGA and 1.3M pixel resolution, when compared with other devices of this class. Delivery time in normally 2 -3 days from date of payment. WEEE Regulation compliant product
