Watch cleaning, repair and servicing necessitate working with minute and delicate parts; many consumables are involved in these processes. These include crystal polishes, sticking pads for dial feet and drill bits.
Crystal Kleer Plastic crystal polish as the name suggests is an ideal product used to remove tiny scratches from plastic crystals and watch cases. This polish is very easy to apply and use. It works by filling in the scratches with minute portions from the plastic surface – this polish does not remove more than a fraction of a millimetre from the surface which means polishing can be done over and over again to maintain the watch in top polish.
With the poly watch scratch removal paste for acrylic watch glasses, it is possible to remove scratches from plastic watch crystals very easily. When this paste is applied to the plastic surface and the surface is polished for 2 to 3 minutes with force at right angles to the scratches with a piece of cotton wool, the plastic glass dissolves slightly and the cracks in the scratches are filled in with this. The rough edges of the scratches are also smoothed out with this paste. For deep scratches, the above process can be repeated multiple times. This paste is very useful for Swatch watches and other fashion watches having plastic watch crystals.
Dial feet sticking pads are available as pads and spots. The Bergeon copper dial feet comes in a packet of 100 pieces with an assortment of sizes and can be used for all kinds of wrist watches. There are double sided self adhesive spots and pads also available in different sizes.
Drill bits are used in the watch drilling operations. A diamond coated drill bit set has twisted drills having electroplated diamond particles that are ideal to drill stones, pearls, glass and ceramic.
