Learning about Bracelet Cutting & Filing Blocks

March 23rd, 2009 · No Comments

If you aren’t really satisfied with the bracelet of your watch, you can get it changed. Learn how it’s done right here in a few simple steps

If you are a woman then you know exactly what I’m talking about here. We like jingly jingly stuff and we absolutely adore our watches. They not only serve to tell time but they also look good simply because we can change the bracelets around whenever we want them. All we have to do is take it to the watchmakers and they do a great job tweaking and setting new designs in the old bracelet itself. But how on earth does it work?

All the watchmakers have to do is just use a Bracelet Cutting & Filing Block to do the necessary changes to your bracelet straps. The clamps hold the ends of the strap to the block while the watchmaker can get the basic changes done. Most watchmakers use a Bergeon 2277 Bracelet Filing Block to carry out the task. I used to worry that the filing block would damage the expensive pure gold straps that I used on my watch. But that’s not something you have to worry about at all. The filers are delicate enough to do simple changes to your valuable pure gold straps without any loss of material. The machine is fixed to a desktop and it has separate calibration of 12 grades. Each grade is calibrated to different levels of delicacy to grasp frail metallic bracelets.

Bergeon 2277 Bracelet Filing BlockNow you can rework gold straps, jeweled metallic bracelets and stainless steels straps to suit your wrist perfectly. Go ahead and tweak those bracelets all you wnat to suit your individual style preference.
