To view watch components and tools clearly, watchmakers make use of lenses, loupes and eye glasses that provide magnification. These are typically small in size, manual and are easily portable.
The ARC Form Tri-lens Loupe is triangular in shape with 3 chrome folding hand lenses in the three corners. They provide 10 times, 15 times and 20 time magnification respectively. The Loupe has a smooth satin finish, is easy to carry and has high quality. The Basic Double watchmakers lens has two lenses that are folding with a 5x and 10x magnification each. It is a basic model which is most suited for beginners in watch care. There is also a triple lens model in this that has one more lens with a magnification of 15 times.
The Bergeon high quality Double Eyeglass has a screwed rim and provides up to 12 times magnification. Eyeglasses for ordinary work should use only normal magnification to avoid eye strain. Only for intricate work, a high magnification should be chosen.
Bergeon steel eye glass holder is made of stainless steel. It can be used with any eyeglass and moved into any position. The Bergeon glass observation mirror is used to see both sides of the watch movement at the same time during repair work. The Bergeon Watchmakers specialist Aplanatic eyeglass is optically and spectrally corrected to give minimum aberration while viewing. The lens is secured by a screw rim.
The Headband Eyeglass is an eyeglass attached to a head band with heavy padding which can be worn around the head for maximum comfort. It has a 1.8x magnification; the adjustable locks can be used to fine tune the lens for best viewing. Watchmaker’s folding lens is a high quality lens for beginners with a 10 times magnification folding lens. It is powerful yet available at a cheap rate.
