Oiling tools for lubricating watch parts

June 10th, 2009 · No Comments

Oiling the parts of a watch is an important function for watch makers. Oiling helps to reduce friction between the delicate parts of a watch and thus protects the parts from breaking down. Some times the oil serves as anti rust agent and also helps in the smooth movement of some parts. Oiling tools are useful to oil the tiny watch parts precisely and comfortably.

The Fixed Tip Five piece Oilier set comes in a hard plastic case to protect it. It has oiler tips of many sizes like super fine tip, fine tip, medium tip, large tip and very large tip. With these tips, the exact quantity of oil can be applied without spilling extra oil and it can be applied at the exact spot. This set is manufactured in Germany and is of good quality.

With an Economy three cup plastic oil pot, watch makers get a hard wearing, sturdy opaque plastic container with a solidly fitting lid. It has three smaller sinks with 11 mm, 13 mm and 15 mm diameters. Oil can be stored in them for application; some parts may some times be immersed in the oil too. There is a single cup variant in this Plastic Oil Pot which has a single sink of 11 mm with a black solid fitting lid.
