Magnetising and De-Magnetising item

Magnetising and De-magnetising tools and parts are jobs done during watch making. To achieve this, there are de-magnetisers available for professional watch makers which can be used in watch service and repair. The Bergeon 2321 Watchmakers Professional Quality De-Magnetiser comes in 110V and 220V models. This is a professional product with a maximum operating period lasting one minute. This machine can be activated by means of a switch. To de-magnetise a piece, it has to be passed slowly passed through the machine from one side and taken out of the other side many times. The piece has to be passed in and out in the same direction through out the process. The apparatus runs on 110 V or 220 V mains power according to the respective models. The dimensions of this apparatus are 135 * 75 * 73 mm. There is a 60 * 35 mm zone which is a de-magnetising area.

It is small enough to be accommodated on a work bench. It can be used to remove blocks that have appeared in quartz watches. There is an operation field in the apparatus that is the de-magnetising zone. To de-magnetise a tool or movement, it has to be place in this field and the de-magnetising button in the apparatus has to be held down for about 5 seconds. This process has to be repeated several times till complete de-magnetisation has taken place. This machine can also be operated continuously only for a small time as it is not designed for prolonged usage. The machine runs on mains power and comes with a red indicator that shows when the machine is running. The apparatus measures 65 * 95 * 40 mm.
